Scott has led the design of numerous robotic platforms, including Boston Dynamics early Atlas robots used in the DARPA Robotics Challenge, PETMAN, and rugged RHex. Scott was also a key technical contributor on Boston Dynamics quadruped robots LS3 and Spot and the jumping robot Sand Flea. Scott also competed in the televised show BattleBots and has appeared on the Jay Leno Tonight show with his robot DooAll. More recently, Scott led the development of Walt Disney’s small free-roaming walking bipedal robot character platform publicly released as Baby Groot.
